In order to be a strong, effective steward, you must understand your role and responsibilities, know your contract, and be committed to organizing and leading your coworkers. This all-day training will introduce stewards to a number of important concepts and skills, including NUHW’s approach to building the model union, the role of the steward at the workplace, legal rights/responsibilities of a steward, using grievances and collective action to solve workplace issues, interpreting your contract, and how to organize and build power at your workplace.
Para ser un delegado sindical sólido y eficaz, debes comprender tu función y tus responsabilidades, conocer tu contrato y comprometerte con organizar y el liderar a tus compañeros. Este entrenamiento de un día completo les presentará a los delegados sindicales diversos conceptos y habilidades importantes, incluyendo el enfoque de NUHW para construir el sindicato modelo, el rol del delegado sindical en el lugar de trabajo, sus derechos y responsabilidades legales, el uso de quejas y la acción colectiva para resolver problemas laborales, la interpretación de su contrato y cómo organizarse y fortalecer su poder en el lugar de trabajo.
