This morning in bargaining, Kaiser reiterated its proposal that would allow management to layoff clinicians as a result of sub-contracting, but modified it slightly to increase severance payouts for employees with 20 or more years of service to 4 months of salary and benefit continuation, up from 3 months.
On our part, we gave Kaiser revised proposals on Professional Time, PTO, and Workload/Provider profiles.
After a lengthy caucus, management returned with a modified proposal on Posting and Filling Positions, to release successful bidders within 45 days, in contrast to the 30 days we are proposing, but less than the current 60 days.
