Jade Rosado is a licensed clinical social worker at Kaiser Permanente in Downey.
What inspired you to pursue a career in behavioral health?
In my heart and professional training, I have always been a Social Worker. I chose the path of pursuing a career in behavioral health because I had a desire to understand the trauma and the emotional wounds that were impacting patients and their lives, I wanted to help people overcome these barriers.
How has being in NUHW helped you in your profession?
NUHW has helped me in advocating for patient rights as well as our rights as professionals. We are in this field to help others and with that includes taking care of ourselves so that we can be the best version of ourselves when we come to work- this means fighting for fair labor practices, equitable pay and benefits.
