In just one week, more than three-quarters of us have signed the Unity Petition, declaring that we remain united in our commitment to win a fair contract. With Kaiser trying to claim we’re divided because some of us have had to return to work four months into the strike, it’s critical that we demonstrate our continued determination to win fair treatment for each other and Kaiser patients. Add your name to the petition by the end of Wednesday, so we can show it to Kaiser officials at Thursday’s bargaining session.
And, sign up to attend Thursday’s bargaining session, which starts at 10 a.m. at the Hilton Glendale.
Upcoming Actions and Bargaining Dates
We’re holding an escalation action around lunchtime Friday outside the Los Angeles Medical Center, and today Kaiser gave us even more reason to put them on blast. Kaiser offered to resume bargaining on Wednesday, February 12; Monday, February 17 — and again 18 days later on March 6.
An 18-day gap in bargaining during the fourth month of a strike is a slap in the face to all of us, to all Kaiser members, and to everyone who believes in the importance of behavioral health care. On Friday outside of LAMC, we’re going to have one of our biggest rallies featuring labor leaders and LA council members — and our most militant action of the strike. Fill out this form to let us know you’re coming. The rally begins at 11:30 a.m.
Everyone planning to be on a picket line Friday is urged to attend the LAMC line at 4867 W. Sunset Blvd. To sign up for picket lines next week, use this link: https://nuhw.knack.com/db#kpc-strike-sign-up/
