NUHW launches Sanctuary for All initiative

Español

One month after updating its Sanctuary Union resolution, NUHW has launched a Sanctuary for All project to provide members with tools to protect the rights of their coworkers in the face of anti-immigrant and anti-trans policies being pursued by the Trump Administration.

Members can visit our Sanctuary for All web page for resources and updates on our latest efforts, and our Training and Education page for upcoming trainings and events.

NUHW first declared itself a Sanctuary Union in 2017, committing itself to safeguard its members from the new president’s immigration dragnet with the same fierce determination that it protects them against rogue employers.

Earlier this year, NUHW’s Executive Board voted to expand the resolution to include protecting the rights of transgender people and reflect the more aggressive posture the second Trump Administration has taken in targeting immigrants, including those who are seeking medical care.

There will be further updates as our Sanctuary for All Initiative continues to take shape in the months ahead.
