We had a great presence at Saturday’s Bernie Sanders / Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Fighting Oligarchy rally in Los Angeles.
Sanders mentioned our ongoing strike during his remarks, and two NUHW members, who participated in last week’s hunger strike, spoke during the rally. Check out how many hands went up when one of them asked for a show of hands of people who have struggled to get behavioral health care from Kaiser.

NPR’s lead national story on Sunday was about the hunger strikers and our ongoing strike.
Bargaining will resume this week with sessions scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday with two mediators, former California Health Secretary Mark Ghaly and former Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg. Another negotiating session with both mediators present is scheduled for Tuesday, April 22.
