Today in bargaining, Kaiser gave us the same “Comprehensive Proposal” they have given us for several sessions now, with a slight “change in wording”. Their chief negotiator told us that they were rejecting our revised proposals on new technology and A.I., and on compensation (wage increase, bilingual pay and longevity steps) that we had made in March.
Management also insisted we owe them a response to their big three take-away proposals, which they last modified on October 15, 2025. We once again reminded them that their onerous proposals were cobbled together from existing contract provisions on Management Rights, Workload Distribution/Provider Profiles, and Reduction in Force and that we have modified our proposals in these areas several times, most recently on February 27. On our ledger, we have made the last proposal on every open issue and the ball is entirely in management’s court.
